A nice way to test if your antivirus is working is this EICAR test “European Institute for Computer Antivirus Research.”
How do you do this? Proceed as follows:
1. Copy what is between the lines below into notepad :

2. Save as EICAR.COM
If your antivirus doesn’t respond to this, it won’t work.
This test is completely harmless.
